When people plan their vacation, they usually prefer to spend it in the most enjoyable locations on the coast. And when they have a home there, they want to furnish it to be the most comfortable and stress-free space, to reduce the stress of their daily routine.
Hurghada, and especially El-Gouna, is one of the most beautiful Egyptian coasts. It is known for the beautiful, natural landscape of both the land and the sea.
Here, we have our second case study for a house in El-Gouna.
The reception area is our main focus. The owners asked us to select modern furniture that is also chic and luxurious. And the colors have to be neutral and calm.
El Gouna geographic location affects its environment, from the land to the sea, as it is located in the middle of the Red Sea coast.
This location reflects on the nature and the environment that surrounds it.
The clear image of the deep blue sea has been the main landmark of this area.
The concept of the interior of this property is inspired by the land and the sea.
The land has many natural materials like the trees (such as palms and Asersus trees), cotton, pottery, glass, and the sea with its meaningful blue color.
The psychology of the color blue reflects tranquility, calmness, serenity, relaxation, soothing, and reducing stress.
This is translated into three main elements:
the slightly curved edges which will be reflected in the furniture, the circular items which will be reflected in the lighting, and the harmony which will be reflected in the arrangement of tables and accessories.
The interior design concept will affect the interior experience in this property. It will stimulate the five senses of the resident.
• Vision: The eyes will move between the elements of design and the accessories in the interior.
• Smell: The smell of “Fresh Breeze” will spread all over the space, and it will be in harmony with the exterior environment.
• Taste: There will be a big basket of fruits on the kitchen counter, filled with tropical fruits like mango, banana, pineapple, red grapes, and dates.
• Touch: The soft touch of cotton and wood all over the space will resonate with the nature outside.
In collaboration with Nancy El Banany,
We selected those elements to match the surrounding environment,
using neutral colors, like light beige, in addition to the colors yellow and blue that are carefully distributed in the space. We also selected accessories that match the psychology of the place and colors.
The below pictures explain the main concept and the inspiration photos that affected the selection of furniture and the color palette.
There are also 3 mainboards that explain the experience by presenting photos of furniture, accessories, and lighting in four spaces: the living room, the dining area, the kitchen, and the entrance.
